Senior Membership

Senior members pay $67 per year, one-half the Regular dues.

To qualify for Senior Membership, the member must have at least 10 consecutive years of APS membership. In addition, the member must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Reached the age of 70
  • Retired from gainful employment
  • Retired due to permanent disability.

For those who qualify, write "Senior Member" on your invoice and adjust the dues amount to $67 or $998 for Senior Lifetime Membership. Senior members for whom the $67 dues causes a hardship may adjust the rate to $0.

Senior Member Benefits

Senior members retain all APS membership privileges.

Publications
Senior members continue to receive Physics Today, APS News, and other Society mailings.  Seniors also have a choice of one free online APS Journal subscription if subscribing to PROLA.

Mid-Atlantic Group
Retired physicists in the Mid-Atlantic region may also be interested in the Mid-Atlantic Senior Physicist Group.
